The longest day of the year, the shortest night.
While I was dorking around the Manor chasing bugs and opening doors, Linda was walking and tackling the Shepherdswell to Dover stage.
Linda took some pretty photos. Looking at them the walk seemed haunted, lots of lost places, like the estate that's been turned into apartments, a stile left to decay, a church no longer used for services, a walled garden gone to weeds, a Roman road, the ultimate symbol of downfall.
She said I didn't miss much, I think I would have liked to have walked on the Roman Road.
